And soon the grand room of the Chancellor mansion was filled with Genoa City's finest ladies. Lily herself was surprised by some of the faces she saw. Her invited guests seem to have taken the "Bring A Friend" sticker on the invitations LaDonna Dubose sent out on her behalf very seriously. Who knew a Tupperware Party would turn into the hen party of Who's Who in this town.
"Dubose. Where have I heard that name?" Ashley asked.
LaDonna replyed "My sister is a very well-known realtor in Genoa City, Farrah Dubose.
"Oh yes. Of course. She and I literally bumped into each other a while back at the club spilling coffee on her custom couture power suit. It was a rather intense encounter to put it mildly." Ashley explained
LaDonna "Oh, I can imagine. My sister can be a bit much at times. Not quick to forgive if you know what I mean."
Ashley smiled and excused herself to take a seat as she noticed hostess Lilly checking her watch and looking anxious to move things along.
And the party begins.
It was hard not to notice Nikki's dramatic eye roll as Sharon yelled "bingo, I won, I won!" and jumped up to claim her pink water bottle prize. "Ahh. Faith will love this. I'm going to give it to her when she comes home from camp. She would've loved this party."
"Yes, most certainly" agrees Nikki and adding " Although she does seem to be enjoying her time in Tennessee."
"Tennessee? Why so far away?" asks Abby
Victoria answers "She's at some place that has something to do with Dolly Parton in the Smokey Mountains. Nick found it online I think." then leans down to whisper "I'd rather be far far away from here in a mountain somewhere myself right now."
"Oh, relax and loosen up Victoria." responds Abby
Easy for her to say thinks Victoria. She's dad's puppet and new right hand. Trying to move forward to launch Brash and Sassy's Dare Perfume campaign was taking a toll on the corporate diva for sure. How could she possibly come up with enough money to market her product without compromising control of her company. She tried to direct her attention back to the party. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Lilly's hostess shopping dollars were really adding up as was LaDonna Dubose's commision. Dina Merjeron ordered a complete cookware set for herself AND another one to send to Tracy in New York.
"Since when is she domestic. She couldn't even remain in the same country as her family, much less cook for them." Nikki whispered to herself. Not about to allow Dina the satisfaction of out shopping her, Nikki ordered 3 sets and the entire Fridgesmart collection.. Dina rolled her eyes as Nikki commented "I plan to do plenty of cooking for Jack and I in the future. Who knows, we may catch enough fish on our next visit to the Abbot Cabin to feed all of Genoa City."
The guests were all gathered around the punch bowl as they each waited their turn for LaDonna to calculate their totals. Victoria just kind of kept to herself not wanting to make small talk or socialize.. She was trying to distract herself by reading about the Tupperware Corporation on a pamphlet. Turns out the company's success can be mostly credited to a woman sales pioneer named Brownie Wise.
LaDonna Dubose announced Lily's party sales totaled a whopping $14,335. Victoria, taken by shock at the total, nearly fell backwards into the grand staircase banister before grabbing onto a chair. The last thing she needed was another bump on the head. "$14,335. Wow. Tupperware. Who knew?" she thought.
Sharon shrieked as did Esther when LaDonna........

A Day In The Life
I know it is only a season and seasons change. I try so hard not to be a grumbler yet here I am. It was only a week ago I was weighted down by the burden of replacing ill caregivers and once again the load is heavy.
Brooke was sick this weekend. She was able to get me up and ready for the day so I could work as planned. She rested and slept on the couch to allow her the ability to take me to a community event that evening which I am most grateful.
Sunday morning she was not feeling well enough for church. After missing three weeks in a row I was disappointed to say the least. Remaining with me during church is a required task of my caregivers. It is necessary that they are there to assist me during the hour and especially on Communion Sunday as was yesterday.
Should I allow the unfortunate circumstances of others to once again rob me of something I enjoy or do I move forward and on to church ? That was the question I asked myself yesterday morning. I don't want to be inconsiderate and unaware of others. I allowed Brooke to drop me off as she requested. After church I worked all day and in between calls worked to secure someone to cover Brooke's Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evening shifts as she requested off. She was able to sleep comfortably on the couch until time to get my supper and put me to bed.
This morning rolls around and Keely and her daughter are sick. She is able to come in and get me up but unable to provide my morning shower. Unsure she will be able to work tomorrow, I try to line up a backup by messaging my sister. Sounds promising doesn't it? She responded back and she has an appointment in the morning and cannot be of assistance.
I try hard not to become discouraged and I am thankful for those who can help out and I wish good health for others. During these seasons I feel controlled by the circumstances of others. An interruption in my care plan causes me to feel controlled by the circumstances of not only one person but many. My first priority is getting out/in bed, food, work and/or commitments. Personal hygiene, laundry, household chores, errands ,and appointments are compromised.
I want to be humble and not a self-centered person. I want to be focused on what I can do for others instead of who and what others can do for me. Complaining and grumbling compromise joy so I will press on knowing and trusting what God's word tells me. He will never leave me nor forsake me. The plans He has for me are for good and not evil. In Him I am a victor and not a victim. This too shall pass. I ask God to bless Brooke and Keely and to restore their bodies to good health.

What if Lily hosts a Tupperware Party at the Chancellor Mansion in Genoa City
Sitting here in my office working my call center job and call volume is low. I mean lowwww. That's when my mind wonders and crazy random thoughts come to mind, like "I wonder what it would be like if my daytime drama divas from The Young and the Restless attended a Tupperware Party. In character and written into the story line of course.
Lily Ashby prepares to send twins Charlie and Maddie back to school. Money is tight with Cain out of work and even after selling his ride to the shady dating app dude to cover the $25000 tuition to Walnut Grove, the car deal didn't leave money for extras like clothes, shoes, and those Tupperware lunch bag sets she wants them to have. LaDonna, her Tupperware Sales Consultant was quick to suggest she host a Tupperware party and earn free Tupperware products.
Lily's Tupperware party guest list has outgrown her apartment so with brother Devon being the late Katherine Chancellor's blood grandson, and Jill loving Cain like her own flesh and blood years before marrying Cain's father. The Chancellor mansion is the perfect party venue. Esther was super excited and more than happy to prepare a delicious assortment of party food favorites for Saturday's event. She's even hunted up a few pieces of vintage Tupperware from Misses C's kitchen cabinets. In fact, it was in back of the dark corner of one of those cabinets where she found a Tupperware Midget container resting over the top of a bottle of liqueur. She was undoubtedly using it as a shot glass during her drinking years. Poor old gal. Those were some tough years for her.

As I sit here in my office I tell myself I AM BLESSED. I say it over and over again to remind myself that as things fall apart, I AM BLESSED. Being dependent on others to meet basic needs is a challenge at times but I AM BLESSED. People get sick and back up plans don't always work out but I AM BLESSED. It is a struggle to stay positive and not allow myself the pity part I soooo wanna throw. I AM BLESSED.
I AM BLESSED As on Tuesday afternoon Brooke messaged to say she was sick and unable to work that evening. I AM BLESSED that after messaging three people Courtney responded she was available. She not only agreed to provide my evening care but also allowed me to keep my dinner plans with friends and pick up some things from Walmart as I had planned. I AM BLESSED. Courtney had already worked an 8 hour job that day. I might also mention she had several teeth pulled the day before and could only eat soup for dinner. She was pleasant and provided excellent care. I AM BLESSED
Thursday evening Keely messaged. She was sick and would be unable to work the next morning. Soo, I once again begin calling/messaging to find someone to fill in. After calling/messaging several people, I found someone. I AM BLESSED. Amber came at 7am after working a 12 hour shift at her nursing home job. I AM BLESSED. No shower, but I was up,dressed, and didn't miss work. I AM BLESSED.
Friday afternoon Brooke comes to work I AM BLESSED. No word from Keely to confirm she's well enough to work her weekend schedule sooo Amber agrees to come in Saturday morning at 7am after her 12 hour shift at the nursing home. I AM BLESSED. Keely messages later confirming she'll resume her caregiving duties Saturday evening. I AM BLESSED Day 2 without a shower but I'm up,dressed and working. I AM BLESSED Keely messages Saturday morning, she's throwing up sooo I message Brooke. She confirms she'll come in Saturday evening. I AM BLESSED. I work all day and in between calls I try to find help for Sunday morning/evining and Monday morning. I got a shower before bed I AM BLESSED. Megan confirms she could really use the money and will work Sunday morning/evening and Monday morning. I AM BLESSED Soooo Sunday morning 9am....9:15am.....9:30am.....9:45am and I start calling for backup for the backup. I call about 4-5 people and and someone comes. I AM BLESSED No shower, missed church, but I did work. In between calls, I managed to secure Kelsey to come Sunday night and Monday morning as she was off from her full time job at the hospital. I AM BLESSED. Kelsey came as planned. I AM BLESSED. Brooke should be here at 5pm as she is scheduled. I AM BLESSED. I'm hoping Keely is feeling better and able to work her morning shifts for the rest of the week.
Trying to find fill in caregivers steals my time, money, emotional/physical well being. It is a challenge not allowing the circumstances to steal my JOY. Finding fill ins is a necessity as I rely on others for getting up, personal care, food, laying down for bed at night so I'm grateful for anyone who comes to my rescue. My basic needs obviously come first so when a regularly scheduled person is absent that usually means deviating/cancelling any plans/commitments but I AM BLESSED.
